The Inhambane Mudungaze band Laka Laka has released their new album “Maningue Ket” on Sturday 12th of December in the airport area in Inhambane. The event was attended by an approximate amount of 3500 people due to no costs for entry. It ended as a big confusion, the rooad to Tofo was blocked and the airport road had collapsed. Video tapes were confiscated by the authority. The last drunk guests could only be chased away at 4 in the morning putting on Bob Dylan’s “Out of Time” album.

The new film of Julian Poeschl and Florian Knisatschek made in south of Austria’s Suedburgenland is still waiting for the music soundtrack, which is right now processed in Studio Bom Dia, Inhambane, Mozambique. Mudungaze is recording most of the tracks by himself, however some of them will be accompanied by his mozambican band Laka Laka. There will be two premieres of the movie, one, with portuguese subtitels in Inhambane and the original version in the cinema in Jennersdorf, Austria. Adele asked, if she could use a tune that i made years ago to use in a movie of her friend Frederique in Spain. Sure she can.

I finally also watched the movie after downloading it in Mozambique, which took hours.

Helio and Roland are on the way to Pemba, to spend another 20 days with the guys from CinemArena from the Italian Cooperation. They will play about 6 gigs up there in the north in the districts around Pemba. In the meanwhile the CD “No Time” is being pressed in Pretoria and ready to pick up after the return from Pemba.
